Attorney Biography

Jeff Hightower

Jeff Hightower focuses on products liability and business litigation. He is one of the few lawyers in the country with extensive experience prosecuting claims against Remington and other firearms manufacturers alleging that design defects cause certain guns to fire unexpectedly.

He has also represented a substantial number of victims hurt or killed in hunting accidents. He is currently handling gun and hunting cases in Texas, Alaska, Washington, Colorado, New Mexico, and Georgia, and is assisting with a firearm-related class action in Arkansas.

Originally from Austin, Texas, Jeff earned a business degree from the University of Texas in three years and obtained a law degree from U.T. by age 24. He has practiced law in Dallas for 15 years, and his peers have elected him a Super Lawyer (Rising Star) for each of the last five years. Only the top 2.5% of attorneys under 40 achieve the award, and only a handful of Texas attorneys have achieved the award five straight years.

He quickly learned the ropes and became that firm’s highest producer in 2005, achieving settlements of $5,000,000 and $2,250,000 in that year alone. He also gained an appreciation for being able to help people who would otherwise never be able to take on the big companies he represented in the past.
