by hightangle on October 19, 2010

CNBC is airing a special investigative report entitled “Remington Under Fire.”  The story focuses on the defects in the trigger mechanism of the Remington 700 series rifle that cause it to fire unexpectedly without ever having the trigger pulled.  The piece explores these defects with help from some of the victims whose lives have been tragically altered by this problem, and with help from the attorneys fighting to get the affected rifles recalled.  Jeff Hightower of Hightower Angelley LLP is one of the attorneys featured in the special, and is perhaps the most knowledgable lawyer in the country with regard to the history and technical aspects of the defects in the Remington 700 series rifle.  If you use this model rifle or know someone who does, you should be sure to watch this CNBC special report.  It initially airs on October 20, 2010 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, 8:00 p.m. CT.  Subsequent air dates are:  October 24 at 10:00 p..m. ET; October 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET; and October 31 at 1:00 p.m. ET.
